Interesting Factoids About Jordan. Err, I Mean ‘Palestine’

Facts Shared With Me About A Piece Of Land Many Call ‘Palestine’, And Many Try To Hide And Deny

Golda Meir Quote - Former Prime Minister of Israel

“Prove to me and show me any evidence of a Palestine as a nation as a people I want to see archeological evidence I want to see true documents of Palestine because it’s all an international lie!Truth does not change. Truth is truth. If something was true 50 years ago, 40 years ago, 30 years ago, it is still true today.

And the truth is that only 30 years ago, there was very little confusion on this issue of Palestine.

You might remember the late Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir making the bold political statement: “There is no such thing as a Palestinian people.”

The statement has been a source of ridicule and derision by Arab propagandists ever since. They love to talk about Golda Meir’s “racism.” They love to suggest she was in historical denial. They love to say her statement is patently false – an intentional lie, a strategic deception.

What they don’t like to talk about, however, are the very similar statements made by Yasser Arafat and his inner circle of political leadership years after Meir had told the truth – that there is no distinct Palestinian cultural or national identity.

So, despite the fact that conventional wisdom has now proclaimed that there is such a thing as the Palestinian people, I’m going to raise those uncomfortable quotations made by Arafat and his henchmen when their public-relations guard was down.

Way back on March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview with Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. Here’s what he said:

The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct “Palestinian people” to oppose Zionism.

For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RN14jYdzzQQ )

That’s pretty clear, isn’t it? It’s even more specific than Golda Meir’s statement. It reaffirms what I have written on this subject. And it is hardly the only such statement of its kind. Arafat himself made a very definitive and unequivocal statement along these lines as late as 1993. It demonstrates conclusively that the Palestinian nationhood argument is the real strategic deception – one geared to set up the destruction of Israel.
In fact, on the same day Arafat signed the Declaration of Principles on the White House lawn in 1993, he explained his actions on Jordan TV. Here’s what he said: “Since we cannot defeat Israel in war, we do this in stages. We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish a sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more. When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel.”

No matter how many people convince themselves that the aspirations for Palestinian statehood are genuine and the key to peace in the Middle East, they are still deceiving themselves.”

There is not, nor has there ever been, a distinct “Palestinian” culture or language. Further, there has never been a Palestinian state governed by Arab Palestinians in history, nor was there ever a serious Arab-Palestinian national movement until 1964…three years BEFORE the Arabs of “Palestine” lost the West Bank Judea and Samaria and Gaza as a result of the 1967 Six Day’s War (which the Arabs started). Even the so-called leader of the “Palestinian” people, Yasser Arafat, is Egyptian! In short, the so-called Arab “Palestinians” are a manufactured people who mostly descend from Jordan where they decided to revolt and thousands were killed in one day by the order of King Hussein. … people with no history and no authority…whose sole purpose for existence is to destroy the Jewish State! Israel first became a nation in 1312 B.C., two thousand years before the rise of Islam! Seven hundred and twenty-six years later, in 586 B.C., these first ancient Jews in the land of Israel (Judea) were overrun and Israel’s First Jewish Temple (Solomon’s Temple) on Jerusalem’s Old City Temple Mount was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar, king of ancient Babylon. Many of the Jews were killed, enslaved or expelled; however many were allowed to remain. These Jews along with their progeny and other Jews, who would resettle over the next 500 years, rebuilt the Nation of Israel and also a Second Temple in Jerusalem on the same site as Solomon’s Temple. The Turks ( Ottoman Empire) invaded some 500 years ago and claimed the land up until Britain conquered leading up to the events that formulated the return if the land to the Jews. Thus, the claim that Jews suddenly appeared right after the Holocaust, and drove out the Arabs is preposterous! The Arabs ( or anyone else) don’t get to create Israel’s timeline or actual historical facts.

Why do Palestinians really want an Arab state inside the Land of Israel ?
Why do they want to turn Judea and Samaria (west bank) into an Arab/Palestinian state when they already have a Palestinian state in Jordan?

Palestinian official ,Abbas Zaki, a member of Fatah’s centeral comittee, told Al-Jazeera on September 23, 2011:
“Don’t Tell the World We Want to Wipe Out Israel …
President [Abbas] understands, we understand, and everybody knows that the greater goal cannot be accomplished in one go. If Israel withdraws from Jerusalem, evacuates the 650,000 settlers, and dismantles the wall – what will become of Israel? It will come to an end.”
“If we say that we want to wipe Israel out….C’mon, it’s too difficult. I! t’s not [acceptable] policy to say so. Don’t say these things to the world. Keep it to yourself.”

Way back on March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview with Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. Here’s what he said:
“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people.”

Walid Shoebat, a former PLO terrorist :
“Why is it that on June 4th 1967 I was a Jordanian and overnight I became a Palestinian?”
“We considered ourselves? Jordanian until the Jews returned to Jerusalem. Then all of the sudden we were Palestinians — they removed the star from the Jordanian flag and all at once we had a Palestinian flag.”

The Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel . Period.
The Arab occupation in Israel must come to an end !
On 26 December 1981, King Hussein declared in an interview with the Arab newspaper “A – Nahar Al – Arabi” that :

“The truth is that Jordan is Palestine and Palestine is Jordan.”
